Montana Mountain Retreat is situated in the Magaliesberg Mountains, forming part of the Mountain Sanctuary Park conservancy. It is a haven for anyone seeking to relax in natural, unspoilt surrounds.

Animals such as giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, blesbuck, kudu, brown hyena, black back jackel, klipspringer, mountain reedbuck, impala, vaalreedbuck, amazing bird life and much more, can be seen in and around the camp and on the hikes.

Whilst maintaining the ethos that Mountain sanctuary park has forever been famous for, Montana will be allowing moderated music, musical instruments, retreats, celebrations, group camps and family reunions to name but a few things. No excessive noise will be allowed, and all conservation rules must be followed at all times.

We encourage families, businesses, retreat organisations and group leaders alike to book the venue as a whole for events and groups to allow for more freedom regarding privacy and noise levels.

Montana has a beautiful large swimming pool, with views that will take your breath away as well as hiking trails. This reserve has gorgeous gardens exploding with flowers and are expertly maintained. Chalets are available that range from 2 to 5 sleepers, each self-catering, with outside braais. The units are equipped with bedding and kitchen needs, towels need to be bought along with you.

The theme of Montana, is 1970, meets 2026

We are keeping some elements of the 70s, embracing Montana’s roots and showing respect to the history of this beautiful reserve whilst simultaneously giving it a more modern upgrade. Montana is a work in progress and with more upgrades and additions to come…. we look to the future for inspiration.

Currently we are offering an introductory special for people to enjoy the opening of this amazing reserve, and we ask you to support us on this historical, conservational endeavour that has been a life long dream for us.
